COPYRIGHT, TO BE DEBATED NEXT TUESDAY AT AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ORGANIZED BY SGAE.
The General Society of Authors and Editors (SGAE) has organized an international conference on the collective management of intellectual property and copyright in the 21st century, which will take place next Tuesday, June 18 at the Madrid headquarters of the entity. This event is part of the program of commemorative events for its 125th anniversary and can be followed by streaming (through the SGAE YouTube channel), the entity has reported. During the congress, issues such as the competition between the different current models of rights management and the role of collective organizations as promoters of cultural diversity and at the service of the social or educational needs of their members will be analyzed. Likewise, the new technological challenges faced by both creators and management entities and copyright in social networks, among other issues, will also be addressed.
