EXTRAJUDICIAL CONCILIATIONS
Conciliation is an alternative dispute resolution mechanism through which two or more parties manage the direct resolution of their differences with the assistance of a neutral and qualified third party (different from the judge) called a conciliator
These are conducted at a conciliation center, usually in chambers of commerce, aiming to reach an agreement with the third party in a hearing. Such an agreement holds executive merit, making it easier to enforce in case of non-compliance through an executive process
Before initiating legal proceedings for Unfair Competition and Infringement of Industrial Property, attempting conciliation beforehand is usually a prerequisite.
